Calling all young artists!
In celebration of Cat Depot’s 23rd Anniversary, we’re inviting students to get creative and show us what animals mean to them in the 2026 Cat Depot Art Contest.
Create an original piece of artwork showcasing the special ways animals make a difference in our world. Your artwork could highlight how pets enrich our lives, how service animals help people, an animal that has accomplished something amazing, or simply why animals deserve our kindness and care.
Any artistic medium is welcome — so let your creativity run wild!

Who Can Enter:
- Students in K–5th, 6th–8th, and 9th–12th grade
Entry & Voting Period:
- 9/1/2026 – 10/2/2026
Cost to Enter:
- FREE
Voting:
- Every $1 donation equals one vote, with all proceeds supporting the cats and programs of Cat Depot.
How to Enter:
Create your original artwork and submit it online through the official Cat Depot Art Contest page.
Artwork Guidelines:
All artistic mediums are welcome. Artwork must be original and may not be AI-generated.
Prizes:
Winners will be determined by votes received in each age division, with prizes including Cat Depot experiences, swag, the opportunity to name a kitten, and more. First-place artwork will be featured on a limited-edition Cat Depot T-shirt!
