Every time a cat finds a loving home, a frightened kitten receives lifesaving medical care, or a family gets the support they need to keep their beloved pet, it’s because a compassionate community made it possible.
At Cat Depot, we’re proud to be Sarasota’s only nonprofit dedicated exclusively to cats and kittens. But our greatest strength isn’t our building or our programs—it’s the people who make our mission possible. Together, we’re rescuing more than 1,300 cats and kittens each year, providing affordable veterinary care to more than 3,000 pet cats, expanding foster care, and helping families keep 1,500 cats fed every month through our Community Food Bank.
Cats Don't Rescue Themselves. Fortunately, Our Community Does.
Together, we are creating a more compassionate community through education, outreach, and resources that support cats and the people who love them. Community support enables us to:
- Rescue and adopt out more than 1,300 cats and kittens
- Treat over 2,700 feline patients through our Cat Care Clinic
- Feed 1,500 cats across Sarasota and Manatee County by distributing 3,000 pounds of FREE cat food through our monthly Food Bank
- Provide 1,700 affordable or free spay/neuter surgeries for owned cats and community cats
- Keep at least 200 families together through our Safety Net Programs
- Foster meaningful connections between kids and cats through our Education and Outreach programs, including CAT Camp and our Teen Volunteer Program, engaging hundreds of young people each year

Our Journey Home Circle directly supports the adoption journey—from rescue and healing treatment to adoption day. Each partner is sponsoring an adoption pod for one year, enabling 150 cats and kittens to find their furever homes.

Unlimited Annual Partners!
Compassionate Caregivers supports the programs that intervene to keep cats in their homes where they belong. Each partner funds one full month of Food Bank operations, feeding 1,500 cats and distributing 3,000 lbs of food.
