Cat Depot Celebrates 1000th Adoption

1000 Adoptions and Counting!

Cat Depot celebrates its 1,000th adoption of the year!  And the honor goes to Jeepers! Known around the shelter as a little purring machine, it didn’t take long for sweet Jeepers to find her purrfect match.

Jeepers was part of a litter of five kittens affectionately called the “Merry 5.” The litter was found sick and alone before being brought to Cat Depot by a kind Samaritan. Thanks to the expert care and dedication of Cat Depot’s veterinary team, these tiny kittens made a speedy recovery.

Now, Jeepers is celebrating a forever home – marking the 1,000th adoption of the year!

“We’re celebrating this milestone as a shared accomplishment with our community,” said Diana de Veer, Co-Executive Director of Operations. “Overall, adoptions are up this year at Cat Depot, and we couldn’t be more grateful to everyone who chooses to adopt. This success is a testament to our incredible community, as well as the dedication of our amazing staff and volunteers.”

At a time when animal shelters across the country are struggling to make progress, Cat Depot has increased its lifesaving by 10%—that’s over 100 more cats and kittens who got a second chance this year.

P.S. Jeeper’s littermates Kazaam and Jinkies are still waiting to find their families. Come meet them today and help them start their own happily ever after!
