Food Bank
Cat Depot Food Bank Program
Cat Depot operates our area’s largest Food Bank for household and community cats. This program helps families feed their cats, preventing surrenders or euthanasia caused by financial hardship.
Each month, Cat Depot feeds 1,500 cats across Sarasota and Manatee County, distributing 3,000 pounds of cat food each month.
Cat Depot’s Food Bank is FREE to income-qualified residents of Sarasota and Manatee Counties and to caregivers of managed community cat colonies. This program is supported entirely by donations of wet and dry food from our cat-loving community.
Food Bank Application Process
To apply for our Food Bank program, please complete the Safety Net Application and a member of our team will respond.
Our Food Bank is held on the last Saturday of every month, and you must be pre-approved to attend.
While Cat Depot is committed to offering support whenever possible, please be aware that availability of some services may depend upon our current resources and may be offered on a case-by-case basis.
