About the Foster Program
At Cat Depot, foster care is at the heart of lifesaving. Fostering allows kittens to grow and thrive in a safe home environment where they can receive individualized care, socialization, and affection during their most critical early weeks of life.Without foster homes, many of these vulnerable kittens simply won’t have the opportunity they deserve.
And fostering is easier than many people think. You do not need prior experience. You do not need a large home. Even a spare bathroom, guest room, or small quiet space can save a life.
Cat Depot provides everything fosters need, including:- Veterinary care
- Food and litter
- Beds, toys, and enrichment
- Training and expert guidance
- After-hours emergency support
- A safe temporary space
- A one- to two-week commitment
- Love, patience, and compassion
We currently need Fosters for:
- Nursing Moms with her kittens
- Bottle Babies (kittens under 4 weeks old)
- Kittens older than 4 weeks old
- Special needs and medical cases
Requirements
- Must be 18+ (No student volunteers and fostering cannot be used towards service hours)
- Read and review the Foster Terms of Agreement and agree to comply with those terms
