Food Bank
About Our Food Bank
Cat Depot is aware that some families in our community might need assistance in feeding their beloved pets due to financial hardship.
Every month, Cat Depot provides life essential wet and dry food supplies to over 1,000 community and personal cats across Sarasota and Manatee County.
Getting Assistance
Cat Depot’s Safety Net Program is designed to support pet owners in crisis. Our mission is to keep cats with the families who love them by offering compassionate, comprehensive support in times of need. We may be able to provide support through our Community Food Bank for income-qualified residents of Sarasota and Manatee Counties. This program helps families feed their cats, preventing surrenders or euthanasia caused by financial hardship. If you’re struggling, we may be able to help.
- If you or someone you know in the Sarasota or Manatee area needs assistance, please email info@catdepot.org to start your application process.
- Food Bank is held on the last Saturday of every month, and you must be pre-approved to attend.
Giving Assistance
Our Food Bank relies on donations from the community. Donations are always welcome in the form of dry or wet cat food of any brand. We will even also accept open bags of fresh cat food.
Food Bank donations may be dropped off at Cat Depot daily from 10:00am to 6:00 pm.
Donate
You can choose to make a restricted gift to our Community Food Bank fund and Cat Depot will apply those funds to the most needed items.
