Join Cat Depot's Monthly Giving Program to Make a Difference for Cats in Need
When you become a Forever Friend your monthly tax-deductible donation will help Cat Depot provide much needed care for our feline friends.
Your recurring gift will help us provide housing in our state-of-the-art pods, food, litter, spay/neuter, medical care, rehabilitation, and social development for hundreds of homeless, wounded, and abandoned cats and kittens.
Donate Wet / Dry Cat Food for the Community Food Bank
We provide food for 240 personal pets and over 500 community/free-roaming cats in Sarasota and Manatee Counties on a monthly basis.
Donations are always welcome in the form of dry or wet cat food. We will take open bags of fresh cat food.
Items can be dropped off at Cat Depot during normal operating hours – We are open daily by appointment 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Fresh Step Paw Points
Every year, Fresh Step donates over 1 million scoops of litter to shelters around the country. Want to help? You can donate your Paw Points® to Cat Depot, and we’ll use them for free litter, cat beds, and other necessities.

Shop on Amazon Smile and Amazon will donate to Cat Depot! Buy something for yourself or shop Cat Depot’s Wish List and help us with much needed supplies!
Did you know that:
- Cat Depot has close to 200 little tummies to fill every month – that’s more than 12,764 cans of Friskies and 3,120 lbs. of dry food per year!
- Cat Depot uses an average of seven 50 lb. bags of clay litter per week.
- Cat Depot uses an average of eight 40 lb. tubs of scoopable litter per week.

Workplace Giving / Corporate Matching
Employer matching gifts are a great way to double your gift to Cat Depot!
Check with your employer to see if they offer matching gifts for charities, then complete and send your section of the matching gift form provided by your employer — we’ll handle the rest! If you’ve already made your donation, you can still send us the completed matching gift form, and we’ll verify it directly with your employer.

Walk for the kitties with the ResQWalk App
ResQwalk is a free mobile app that lets you support your favorite animal welfare organization — just by getting out and moving! You can help save the lives of homeless cats just by going for a walk, a run or a bike ride.
To help earn money for your favorite organization, simply download the app, select your favorite ResQwalk partner to support and press “Start.” Make sure to select Cat Depot as the ResQ you would like to support.
Host an Event or Fundraiser
Cat Depot always appreciates when our supporters and local businesses want to host fundraising events on our behalf. These events help to raise critical funds without adding to our expenses, and move us that much closer towards our mission of changing the destiny of homeless cats.
We call these ‘third party events” because while Cat Depot is the beneficiary, YOU are the one managing the event. Previous event examples include partnerships with restaurants, art events, and trunk shows.
